Alex Ritzema is a comedian, motivational humorist, and business leader specializing in organizational psychology

Alex has 15 years of professional experience successfully applying the power of humor to the problems of our world,

and is a member of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor

Working in Research & Design at Herman Miller, Inc. Alex’s creativity helped launch new products like the ground

breaking Aeron® office chair and he has been featured on CNBC’s Business of Innovation speaking on the topic of

creativity and team collaboration.   

In his role as Vice President of Impact Label Corporation in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Alex's lean manufacturing

experience in both the office furniture and printing industries, enabled him to help facilitate Impact Label’s recovery

from record losses during the recent economic crisis of 2009 to thriving with record profit margins in 2011.

Innovative ideas, courageous leadership, and lean thinking on the part of Impact Label's employees enabled such

successes as winning back major contracts from Asia.  A great example of this success is the Wilson Sporting Goods

The One® batting helmet decals, which were unveiled on ESPN during the 2010 Little League World Series.

A Graduate of The Second City Theater Conservatory in Chicago, Alex has honed his natural sense of humor to strategically utilize its power to bond, strengthen, and heal others even under the bleakest circumstances in life, business, and while volunteering with organizations such as Gilda’s Club and The American Red Cross.
